"When there is uncertainty, there is no investment": as Medef returns to work, political instability is unbearable for bosses

Tanned complexions, ironed shirts and sunglasses on their noses... At the Roland-Garros stadium, this Wednesday, August 27 in Paris, it's difficult to know if the crowd is rushing for a tennis final or for the Rencontre des entrepreneurs de France of the Medef (Mouvement des entreprises de France), the annual gathering where entrepreneurs make their comeback.
Summer isn't over yet, but the mood in the aisles is gloomy. Everyone's mouths are full of "political and economic uncertainty" that does n't "go well with business." François Bayrou's announcement that he will take over on September 8th with a vote of confidence undermines the optimism they still had in economic activity. In unison with his troops, Patrick Martin , the bosses' boss, said he was "dismayed" by "the initial political reactions."
